Labor of Love

Honestly, y'all, it took everything I had to finish my Chasing Light memoir, and I'm so danged proud of this book. I feel like I am finally able to come up for air after a long, long time in the deeps. Heartfelt gratitude to the members of my writing group (Eileen, Erin, and Jessica) who gave important and meaningful feedback and without whom this book would not exist. And huge thanks to beta readers. Your comments and suggestions have helped move the work along through revisions and rewrites.

I'll post any updates about the book here. In the meantime...

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about prayer and talking with others about it — about what we think it is, who does it, what difference it makes. I'm keenly interested in the common ground among those of all faith traditions and those of no faith tradition, because no matter what our beliefs, it seems prayer is a common impulse, especially in these fraught times.

I'm inviting you over to my Instagram feed, where I've been posing thoughts and questions about prayer in posts and stories. If you're not already following me there, I'd love to have you on board. You can read past posts to see what others are saying about their beliefs. I'll be posting and asking questions for the rest of the month of May. I hope you'll join in the conversation!
